My Youtube bow making tutorial where I described how I cut and created the bows!

Welcome!

I am so glad you found me! I know you are super busy and have a million things you could be doing right now, just like me. I've got lots of FREEBIES here for you! But first, here's a little bit about me and my purpose for creating this site.

Two years ago I bought myself a Cricut Explore Air 2 machine after seeing all the cool stuff my friend was creating with one at work. I am a high school English teacher and the librarian bought one to use to create bulletin boards. But I was blown away with how much more it could do!

I quickly realized what a money suck it could be though! You needed to buy SVG files on Etsy or setup a monthly account through Cricut. I knew I needed to learn how to create my own SVG files - and quickly! BTW - SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics and they are used with Cricut Cutting machines - and some other cutting machines too. Files range from .99 - 5.99. So I went straight to youtube to figure this thing out.

I learned that I could create my own files using Photoshop, which I already owned and knew how to use. And then I could convert them using the Free Inkscape application that I downloaded from the web. A few more youtube videos, and I was making my own files! And then I thought - Hey - I could sell these! And maybe it could help pay for my crafting hobby! So I started my Etsy Shop - Prnsessie and began creating and selling SVG bow templates.

I became a top 1% seller on Etsy because I found a new niche to meet the needs of all those cricuteers who want to create their own products.

But as a teacher, I felt like I wanted to share this knowledge with everyone and help them save money. You can create your own files. It just takes a little tech savviness and time. Here I plan to share some of my SVG files with you and show you how to create your own! I also plan on sharing teaching resources, low-carb cooking ideas and my adventures in the kitchen, being a mom and raising my two crazy and wonderful kids, and trying to do it all in my chaotic but creative life.

So, thanks for stopping by! Feel free to connect on Social media or email me! Instagram: @Prnsessie Facebook: @PrnsessieDesigns, E-mail: prnsessie@gmail.com and join my totally random and intermittent newsletter by subscribing HERE!

A Few of My Favorite Things

Cricut Supplies

I LOVE this machine. But it does require a lot of computer use. I make my bows using a Cricut Explore Air 2 Machine and I just recently got a Cricut Maker. They are both AMAZING. Check out these affiliate links if you want to buy one for yourself!

I also use a lot of bow and vinyl supplies from Amazon because I am an Amazon junkie and it's easy to order! Check out my favorite supply links too!

I go through a TON of white heat transfer vinyl and this 30 foot roll weeds great and lasts a while!

I love these thicker chunky glitter sheets for my bows.

These are thinner superfine glitter sheets. I love how they complement the chunky sheets.

So many color options to choose from! The Explore Air 2 is a great machine to start with, but if you think you might want to cut fabric and wood - check out the Maker! https://amzn.to/37sG3cB

I love the LONG mats. I use them for everything. Get a few different grips for different types of materials. The green is pretty all-purpose

If you make shirts, you're going to need a heat press. This is the one I have and I love it.

Teaching English and Fashion Design

I've been teaching high school English for 17 years and I am always learning and trying to improve. I started a little Teachers Pay Teachers Website and I hope to share some of the resources that have helped me and the materials I've created. In addition to teaching, I am also a co-sponsor of the Senior Class and have created lots of fun and memorable dances and decorations for Homecoming that I plan to share too! I won Teacher of the Year at my school in 2015 and I try to bring relevance and engagement to all of my lessons. Check out my TPT store and some of my favorite teaching things below!

I am currently reading EduProtocol Field Guide and am loving its versatility and the possibilities for engagement! Full blog post coming soon!

180 Days. Penny Kittle and Kelly Gallagher are the dream team and this is super inspiring to get your kids reading and writing more!

I was a little late to the Teach Like a Pirate phenomenon, but it's just so fun and we need more engagement in the classroom as ever before.

John Meehan is a rockstar teacher and he shares so many great ways to gamify the classroom and make the students want to learn!

Instant teacher. Just add coffee. And this mug is my fave. I put the lit in literature. Or any mug with Willie Shakespeare on it will do.

Cell phones are a huge distraction in school. Get them to put them up on this wall pocket organizer and put a kid in charge of tallying the extra credit for it. Watch out for burner phones though!

A Little More Chaos

Poshmark, Thrifting, and Side Hustles

In addition to all the other chaos in my life, I also have a major thrift store addiction. Most of my clothes come from there and I've scored so many name brand pieces that I started selling them on Poshmark. If you have an eye for name brands and style, you should totally snap a few pics and sell those pieces you haven't been wearing that are just sitting in your closet. It's a great way to find pieces that are new too! Check out my Posh Store and I will be sharing some tips and tricks for thrifting and poshing too!

And my Family!

Here are my children and husband. We're often running around to tumbling, football, basketball, and fighting over laundry and screen time, but here is a brief moment of togetherness. I come from a big Italian and Irish family and there are a bunch of us. We love getting together to share stories, eat, and laugh. I hope to share some of those stories too!
